Leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, Evgeny Tishkovets, said that on April 1 and 2, Moscow is expected to experience “May warmth,” which has not been seen in the capital for the last 73 years. During the day the air will warm up to 16…21°C, at night – to 5…10°C, he specified.

“These days will double the temperature records of 1983 and 1951, when meteorologists recorded 17.8°C and 17.4°C, respectively,” Mr. Tishkovets wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to a Phobos specialist, today, March 29, cloudy weather is expected in the capital, with light rain in the afternoon. During the day in Moscow the temperature will reach 8…11°C, in the Moscow region – 7…12°C. Barometers in the Moscow region will show 738 mm Hg. Art., he added.

Light rains are also expected in some places in the capital on March 30, Mr. Tishkovets said. At night the temperature will be 4…6°C, during the day it will rise to 13°C. On March 31, the air in Moscow will warm up to 14…16°C.

A Phobos specialist said that by the end of this week the final phase of spring will begin in Moscow, when the average daily temperature steadily rises above 5…7°C. This value is the threshold for drivers to change from winter tires to summer ones. According to Mr. Tishkovets, April in central Russia promises to be 2-4°C warmer than the climate norm with a deficit of precipitation.
