Vilfand: in Moscow next week the air temperature will drop to 18 degrees
The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand told how the weather in the capital region will change next week. So, according to forecasts, the temperature will drop to plus 18 – 20 degrees.
A sharp change in the weather will begin on the first day of next week. “Clouds will prevent the penetration of sunlight to the underlying surface,” the meteorologist explained. “A very fresh northerly wind will come in behind the cyclone.” These factors will lead to the fact that on Monday the temperature will already be 1 degree below the norm: the maximum values during the day will be plus 20 – plus 22 degrees.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the temperature will be plus 18 – plus 20 degrees, which is more typical for the end of the first decade of June. “That is, the weather will lag behind for a month,” Vilfand said.
There are no conditions for the heavy rains this week, he added.
