Three more hospitals in Moscow have joined a pilot project that allows parents to monitor their babies via video link.
Two years ago, a pilot project was launched in the capital for video surveillance of newborns who were born prematurely and were in perinatal centers separately from their mother. Then the Morozov Children’s City Clinical Hospital, as well as the maternity hospital of the Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 2 and the City Clinical Hospital No. 15 named after Filatov took part in it.
Now the opportunity to see their baby at any time is also available to parents whose children are in the perinatal centers of the Kommunarka medical complex, the Bauman City Clinical Hospital and the Konchalovsky City Clinical Hospital.
“The service works for parents whose children were born prematurely or are underweight. Video cameras are installed directly in incubators – devices where babies are in the first weeks of life, ”the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports.
The video broadcast is conducted online, it is not recorded. Access to video surveillance can be provided by the head of the department of a medical institution or the child’s attending physician. True, observation is possible only for children whose weight is more than one kilogram.
Any of the parents can write a statement about their desire to observe the child online. You must specify your full name, passport details, date of birth, phone number and email address to which you will be sent a link to the video broadcast.
