A taxi driver who called the bank with a message about a bomb planted in the office received three and a half years of probation. Thus, the man decided to take revenge on the employees for blocking his bank cards without an objective reason.

As MK found out, a desperate call that ended in litigation was preceded by a desperate story. A young man Andrei (all names have been changed) decided to start working in a taxi. To do this, he rented a Toyota Camry car from a transport company with the possibility of further redemption. To redeem the car, the driver began to taxi, he had to work from early morning until late at night. He had to pay in full in May 2023. Until that moment, there were about six months left.

In order to receive a salary and accept transfers from passengers, Andrey issued a bank card and calmly managed the money. But in the fall of 2022, the bank suddenly blocked one of the two cards. Having called the branch, the owner found out that the reason was numerous transfers from individuals, which the system considered suspicious. The man left a request for unlocking and began to wait for a decision. However, the bank not only did not return the opportunity to use this card to him, but also blocked the second one. According to the man, in this way he was literally left without the opportunity to buy food for himself. He again called the bank’s call center and demanded to restore access. The employee suggested that he wait for a response within two days. However, the restrictions were not lifted within this period, moreover, the bank blocked the client’s ability to access his personal account. Then the taxi driver, driven to despair, called the bank again and said that a bomb had been planted in the Taganka branch where he was served. Then he hung up.

The message about the mining paralyzed the bank for an hour. All employees were evacuated, district police officers and police officers with dogs arrived at the scene. After the bomb was not found, the work of the department resumed.

Alas, for the taxi driver, the story did not end there. The man was accused of knowingly falsely reporting an act of terrorism, and a criminal case was opened. He explained his act by the fact that he was driven to despair by the actions of bank employees, who left him without a livelihood. The taxi driver pleaded guilty and repented. But this did not save him from punishment: the judge sentenced Andrei to 3.5 years of suspended imprisonment with a trial period of four years. The taxi driver was forbidden to change his place of residence and work without notifying the state body that controls the behavior of probationers. In addition, once a month it must be reported to law enforcement agencies.
