In Krasnoyarsk, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will check a bar after a report of possible violations. This is reported by press service regional police. Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Elena Penzina filed a complaint against the bar.

“At least two articles: promoting LGBT propaganda and insulting the feelings of believers. Tomorrow I will write a request to the security forces,” she said in her Telegram channel Mrs. Penzina. She also added that she sent a message to the Safe Internet League.

At the end of February, police organized an inspection of another bar in the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk after the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, filed a complaint against the establishment. She stated that on Defender of the Fatherland Day, a “provocative party” was held in the bar. In the publication, Ms. Mizulina also published a fragment of a video with a performance by a drag queen artist.

In December 2022, Russia passed a law banning LGBT propaganda on the Internet, media, books, audiovisual services, cinema and advertising. In the fall of 2023, the Supreme Court of Russia banned the activities of the International LGBT Social Movement and declared it extremist.
