In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case has arisen regarding the careless death of a one-year-old girl in a medical institution, reports the regional department of the Investigative Committee. The corresponding statement says: “A criminal case was opened into the death of a one-year-old girl in a medical institution in the city of Krasnoyarsk on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence).”
Preliminary investigations revealed that on November 16, the child developed cold symptoms and a cough. The mother independently carried out treatment, including taking antibiotics. However, on November 18, the girl’s condition worsened sharply and she was hospitalized. Despite treatment in the hospital, the child died on November 26.
A forensic examination is currently underway to determine the cause of death.
