Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov promised to increase the number of cameras, as well as policemen, in Kotelniki near Moscow due to the influx of migrants. According to Mr. Vorobyov, a large number of them are associated with the Sadovod market, which is located near the city. Almost 1,700 cameras of the unified video surveillance system have now been installed in Kotelniki.

“Because of this, there are a lot of migrants and “rubber apartments” in the area. People are worried: such a neighborhood is not always calm,” the governor wrote in his Telegram channel. A subsidy of almost 2 million rubles has been allocated for the installation of video surveillance, said Roman Karataev, head of the Main Department of Regional Security of the Moscow Region.

At an operational meeting with the leadership of the regional government and the heads of urban districts, Andrey Vorobyov declaredthat during a trip to Kotelniki the security issue was discussed near the Sadovod market, local residents complain that 9-11 people live in rented apartments in nearby houses.

According to the regional authorities, cited by RIA Novosti, in 2022, 24 criminal cases were opened against migrants, and there are two in this one.
