The German Federal Statistics Service (Destatis) reports that the country’s population in 2022 increased by 1.3%, which is 1.12 million people, after an increase of 0.1% (82 thousand people) a year earlier.
According to Bloomberg, this is a record population growth since the reunification of Germany in 1990. At the end of last year, about 84.4 million people lived in the country, including 12.3 million foreigners.
Most of them have Turkish (1.34 million), Ukrainian (1.05 million) or Syrian (883 thousand) citizenship.
The largest increase was shown by the population with Ukrainian citizenship – 915 thousand people. The number of Ukrainians living in Germany increased by more than 6 times last year.
According to the UN, Germany accepted almost half of the refugees from Ukraine in Europe after the start of the NWO.
