In Dagestan, squally winds of up to 25 m/s provoked a massive power outage. According to the Ministry of Energy at 18.00 Moscow time, 127 thousand residents in 57 settlements remained without electricity.

How reports Dagestan branch of the Ministry of Energy, outages began on the night of December 23, when wind gusts increased to 30 m/s – this led to technological disruptions in 6-10 kV networks. 30 teams took part in the restoration work: 89 people and 31 units of special equipment. By 22:00 Moscow time, electricity supply was restored to 75% of residents left without electricity.
