The GTO festivals are timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the revival, on the initiative of the President of Russia, of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense.”
In Cheboksary, the standards of the complex are passed by participants of the SVO and employees of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. There are plans to hold GTO festivals among schoolchildren, students, work teams and sports families.
“The GTO complex is an important tool for physical education, which every year introduces more and more residents of Chuvashia to the movement.“- noted the Minister of Sports of Chuvashia Vasily Petrov.
Based on the results of 2023, Chuvashia ranks 8th among Russian regions in the implementation of the GTO complex.
