Chechen Minister of National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev, in a publication on his telegram channel, stated that the monument to the fallen soldiers of the Northern Fleet Marine Corps was not broken, but suffered as a result of a natural disaster or was destroyed by wild animals.

According to Dudayev, the memorial plaque is located in the mountains at an altitude of more than 1.4 thousand meters, and it was installed by the Marines of the Northern Fleet without notification or coordination with the executive authority authorized in this area. The minister pointed out that the rules and regulations for installations in remote areas were not observed, as were basic measures to protect against wild animals.

He noted that the place itself was found with great difficulty, and in the footage distributed on the Internet one can see that the object was broken due to a natural disaster or by wild animals that are often found in the highlands, and there can be no talk of any war with the monuments. speech.

Dudayev added that the protection of monuments installed without the consent of the authorities is not the responsibility of regional and municipal authorities, but on the instructions of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, the memorial slab will be restored and erected on a larger scale in the same place, which will be properly equipped.
