In Belarus, the former TV presenter Luksha was convicted for discrediting the country

The Minsk City Court issued a verdict in the criminal case of the former host of the Belarus 1 TV channel Dmitry Luksha, the portal reports. SB news.
Luksha was sentenced to 4 years in a penal colony. Also, the TV presenter was fined 16,000 Belarusian rubles (approximately 400,000 rubles).
Dmitry Luksha is charged under part 1 of article 342 “Organization and preparation of actions grossly violating public order, or active participation in them”, as well as under article 369-1 “Discrediting the Republic of Belarus” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The accusations were made on the basis of reports that Luksha filmed for the Kazakh TV channel Khabar 24. According to the court decision, the reports were staged and contained negative and unreliable information about the situation in the Republic of Belarus. We are talking about a shortage in stores, the plight of refugees, as well as the role of Belarus in the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
