The Kurultai of Bashkiria made changes to the republican law “On Transport Tax”, by which participants of the SVO and members of their families are exempt from paying transport tax for the current year. This was reported by the press service of the regional parliament.

The benefit applies to motorcycles, scooters, cars and trucks, other self-propelled vehicles, pneumatic and tracked machines and mechanisms. One vehicle in each category is exempt from tax.

In November 2022, deputies of the Kurultai of Bashkiria adopted a law that exempted SVO participants and members of their families from paying transport tax for 2022. In May 2023, amendments to the law “On Transport Tax” were adopted, by which these support measures were extended for a year. The new amendments extended this measure until 2024.

As noted in the message, when implementing the law, the republic’s budget will receive a shortfall of 100 million rubles. The amount is taken into account in the law “On the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026.”
