Three Russians kicked out of a Ukrainian cafe in the Philippines because of their nationality
Travelers from Russia were denied service in a cafe on the Philippine island of Palawan because of their nationality, writes TourDom.
According to the portal, three Russian tourists went to lunch at the Odessa Mama Cafe and Boodmo Brewery in the El Nido resort, but a Russian-speaking employee kicked them out, pointing to a sign that says that the institution does not accept orders from Russian citizens.
The tourist said that he and his two friends did not expect to see a Ukrainian cafe in a village in the Philippines. “We went in, we didn’t even have time to ask for the menu, as we were rudely denied service,” the Russian shared the details.
The young man stressed that the actions of the owners of the institution will not go unpunished, and sent a complaint about discrimination based on nationality to the government of an Asian country.
