The scammers pretended to be her friend

New details of the scam that scammers pulled off with the wonderful opera singer and everyone’s favorite Lyubov Kazarnovskaya have come to light. The police made it clear to the opera diva that criminals from a neighboring country were involved in the deception.

As before wrote “MK”, the artist became a victim of scammers on February 7. The singer withdrew 895 thousand rubles from her accounts and transferred them to accounts sent in advance by the scammers. The criminals conducted negotiations through the Telegram messenger.

“Now we need to double-check everything right there,” Kazarnovskaya shared her experiences. – I was mentally between Bach, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, I was having a master class, during which they began to pester me with messages. I just relaxed and didn’t double-check the information.”

It turned out that the criminals contacted the artist through the hacked account of her friend Aidar Akhmetov, director of the G. P. Vishnevskaya College of Musical and Theater Arts. Moreover, the day before his friends communicated with him in another messenger, and he did not say anything about the hacked account.

“I received a message from him on Telegram that I had big problems, and employees of the FSB, the Ministry of Culture, and the Central Bank would soon contact me,” Kazarnovskaya explained. – At first, the scammers wrote messages, then we corresponded via voicemail. They intimidated me in every possible way, they said that I was allegedly sponsoring a terrorist organization, helping the Security Service of Ukraine, in order to prove the opposite, I needed to transfer funds to other accounts. Which is what I did, losing 895 thousand rubles. When the amount was sent to the scammers, I called Aidar Akhmetov and said that I had done as he wrote to me, that now I was not involved in the financing of terrorists. And he responded by telling me about the hacked account and that he hadn’t written to me since our last conversation. That’s why I contacted the police.”

Law enforcement officials explained that the singer became a victim of an extensive network of swindlers who lead to a neighboring country, and there are gangs operating there that deceive Russians in every possible way. According to the famous performer, now she will be extremely careful, checking everything three times before sending anything to anyone.
