Actor and musician Igor Sklyar denied reports that he plans to go to fight in Ukraine as part of a partial mobilization. He told the TV channel RTnoting that the “list of mobilized stars” distributed on the Internet, in which Mr. Sklyar also appears, is a fake.

“They sent me some kind of crazy link, where 50 people of different artists from Shura to Mashkov, including me … I’m 64, I’m unlikely to fall, I have a military registration specialty -“ ordinary cavalryman ”, and cavalry as a kind of troops now it’s gone,” Mr. Sklyar commented on the published list, which, according to the artist, “has been getting him for three days.”

The message that Igor Sklyar plans to take part in hostilities in Ukraine first appeared on the resource “People’s News” (his RBC connects with the Federal News Agency and businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin). In the material of “People’s News” there is a remark by Mr. Sklyar, allegedly uttered in a dialogue with the correspondent of the publication: “We have loading in three days. Echelons to Rostov, equipment, then a month of training – and forward to the barricades!

People’s News also refers to a video that lists “mobilized stars”: Russian celebrities who allegedly went to fight in Ukraine. The video is a slideshow of publicly available photographs of public figures (in particular, stripper Tarzan, actor Gosha Kutsenko, and singers Shura and Bogdan Titomir), accompanied by stock music.

At the beginning of the video, there is a disclaimer with information that the New Russia unit was formed from the mobilized celebrities, and director Fyodor Bondarchuk and actor Mikhail Porechenkov became its commanders. The video was published on a YouTube channel, which mainly hosts content that is commentary on fake news about show business without any reference to sources.
