The collection of applications for the competition “School League of Lecturers” has begun

The Russian society “Knowledge” announced the start of the All-Russian competition “School League of Lecturers”. Schoolchildren aged 14 to 17 who love public speaking and are ready to demonstrate it publicly will be able to participate in the creative competition.

To participate in the competition, children can choose any of eight areas: social sciences and humanities, natural sciences, business and career, science and technology, media and marketing, culture and art, sports and healthy lifestyles, ecology and charity.

Participation in the competition is free. You can apply until October 31st. The first rounds of the competition will be held remotely. The final – in Moscow in full-time format. According to the results of the competition, the jury is supposed to select 20 finalists who will receive prizes from the Knowledge Society, travel vouchers around the country, as well as the opportunity to give public lectures at the best universities in Moscow.

According to Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, the new competition “School League of Lecturers” will give children the opportunity to prove themselves – their active position and ability to lead, their willingness to share knowledge with their peers.

“This is also a great opportunity to improve public speaking skills that will come in handy on the path of life, and find like-minded people for new interesting undertakings. I am sure that the participants of the competition will get an unforgettable experience, and the winners will discover new horizons for growth and self-realization in enlightenment,” Maxim Dreval specified.

To take part in the competition, the guys must record and upload their 15-minute video lectures to the competition website. They will be evaluated by an expert council, which will include government officials, representatives of public associations and educational organizations, scientists and researchers, partners of the Russian society “Knowledge”. In February 2023, the online stage of the competition will take place. Its participants will be 85 contestants. The semi-finals of the “School League of Lecturers” will be held in March, according to its results, 40 strongest lecturers will be determined. The final stage, at which the 20 best lecturers will be selected, will be held in Moscow.
