Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said that within the framework of the program of assistance to refugees from the Kherson region, they will be provided with housing certificates. With their help, it will be possible to purchase a house or apartment in any region of Russia. The draft government order will be ready in the near future.
The State Housing Certificate (SHC) is a nominal certificate that provides the right to a gratuitous subsidy for the purchase of housing for certain categories of beneficiaries. For example, for those in need of better living conditions, residents of the Far North, veterans of the Second World War, Chernobyl victims, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies, forced migrants and others.
“According to this housing certificate, they can buy either a house or an apartment – at least in the secondary, even in the primary housing market – in any region of the Russian Federation,” Mr. Khusnullin told reporters (quoted by RIA Novosti).
He added that Russia will provide free transportation of residents of the Kherson region to points of temporary residence in Russia.
