Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the Czech Republic after February 24, 2022, received humanitarian benefits totaling 16.33 billion crowns (approximately $710 million), Idnes reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Labor of the republic.

Currently, 383 thousand Ukrainian migrants live in the Czech Republic. Among them are 98 thousand children and adolescents under 18 years of age, 170 thousand women aged 18 to 65 years, as well as 15.5 thousand elderly people over 65 years of age, including both men and women.

According to information from the Ministry of Education, about 50 thousand children from Ukraine attend schools in the Czech Republic. The head of the department, Mikulas Beck, noted that this is one of the highest percentages among all young Ukrainians who arrived in the country.
