Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova appreciated Bild’s message about Zelensky’s visit to Germany
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who, according to the Bild newspaper, may soon go to Germany, “reached out to his people.”
Zakharova also added: “There will be more photographs of the century.”
According to the Diplomat, Germany and Ukraine “have made adjustments” to the 80-year-old plan and “together are building a new Europe.”
According to her, “the bloody awards of customers are pouring on the main contractor – the Polish Order of the White Eagle, the Charlemagne Prize.”
Earlier, the Bild newspaper reported that Zelensky may personally come to Germany in May to receive the prestigious European Charlemagne Award with an order. This award is given for “contribution to Western European understanding.” It was awarded to former German chancellors Adenauer, Merkel, as well as the European Commission, the euro currency, politicians: the first Czech President Havel, French President Macron, and besides them, the leaders of the Belarusian opposition Tikhanovskaya, Kolesnikova and Tsepkalo.
Formally, as the newspaper wrote, the award will be awarded to all Ukrainians, not just Zelensky, for defending “Europe and European values.” It was also noted that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz would be at the awards ceremony to deliver a speech.
