“I raped my little sister”: a psychologist explained the surge in sexual crimes among teenagers

Recently in New Moscow there was a scandal, the main character of which was a rapist for 12 years. The other day in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, three 11-year-old boys offered a one-year-old girl to “play as adults” … And in Adygea, a completely wild story is being actively discussed – a fifteen-year-old girl raped her young half-sister. What happened – why is the sexual violence in the country so younger?

Violence by a girl over a child in Adygea continued for several years, starting from the age of four of the victim, and to this day, even after the already 20-year-old girl moved to live in Krasnodar. Arriving home, she repeated the terrible deeds. The rapist already had a conviction for attempted murder, now she is facing imprisonment for up to 20 years. And her victim, who is now 10 years old – a long rehabilitation …

As for the Krasnoyarsk incident with “adult games”, it became known from the regional children’s ombudsman Irina Miroshnikova. She was approached by … the father of one of the 11-year-old boys, dissatisfied that all three were registered with the PDN.

The fact that the epidemic of “juvenile violence” broke out from Krasnodar to Krasnoyarsk, “MK” talked with social psychologist Valery Raushinsky.

– Epidemic – it’s loudly said, of course, it’s just that now the availability of information is high, – Raushinsky believes. – I have been working for 20 years and, believe me, I have seen a lot of this. And among all the statistics of early births, there is a column “up to 14 years”. Typically, such episodes occur either in a marginal disadvantaged environment, in closed special institutions. Either in families where parents and children live very unfriendly, or parents are all at work. And children are neurotic and left to their own devices.

– That is, it was always, we just did not know?

– Yes, there were such cases. But now we can talk about growth in recent years. And the reason I think, among other things, is the availability of information. Satellite channels have appeared, where parents forget to block unnecessary content, and the child watches everything. And, most importantly, an accessible, free segment of such products on the Internet has appeared.

It’s no secret that children, more often boys, of course, all watch this at school, during breaks. Recently in Moscow there was an incident when 4th grade students had seen enough and began to show an unhealthy interest in the girls in the class. Let off greasy jokes, break into the locker room before physical education, put notes, send obscene things to the class chat. And then they even thought of unfolding a poster with an obscene inscription right in the lesson … There was a scandal at school. It turned out that most of these “tough guys” did not understand what they were writing.

– Maybe those who believe that at the age of 10-11 it’s too early to know “about this” are right? And then, you don’t need to tell anything, they will tell you in the yard.

– No, of course not. In general, I consider one of the reasons for the emergence of such situations to be a strange tilt towards hypocrisy in matters of sexual education that has arisen in society and in education. At school especially. Those who are trying to “go back” to the “best Soviet years” or even to apply today the religious norms of morality of a hundred years ago do not understand that this is impossible in the age of information technology. Children will still see. They will see, but they will not know. Because it is interesting, sexuality is awakening, but there is still no responsibility for one’s actions … If you taboo, escalate, then interest will become especially burning, and the topic will become attractive.

– If there is no sexual education at school, then how should parents deal with this topic?

– Of course, we should talk about it at home. But most parents and grandparents have already come to this. Because their own parents didn’t say anything, it’s not uncommon to

Today, parents have a choice – to find information on the Internet or buy a book, take the child to a psychologist. A child can become a victim of violence even at an early age, so kindergarteners already need to work out the boundaries of what is permitted, the so-called “panty rule”. And the rules of conduct in case of violation of boundaries.

Before school, a conversation is needed with the child to know the anatomical differences between the boy and the girl, and the parent must calmly listen to the child, answer all questions. And there are usually a lot of them.

At the age of 10, puberty begins – we are talking about menstruation and wet dreams. Then there are conversations about the relationship between a man and a woman. If the parents themselves are shy, you can entrust such conversations to a specialist.

The main thing is not to let it take its course, because mentoring in the sexual sphere is also part of conscious parenthood. Confidential conversations on this topic will help teenagers not be afraid and not be embarrassed about their bodies, they will save them from early sexual intercourse. Contrary to prejudice – some believe that it is worth telling the children, and away we go. But ignorance, fueled by sexual tension, makes the topic of sex obsessive and provokes depravity in adolescents.
