Hydrometeorological Center warned Muscovites about dangerous heat

Severe heat is expected in the capital region in the coming days, which refers to dangerous weather phenomena. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, spoke about this on Thursday, June 15.
The expert noted that on Friday the temperature in Moscow will rise to 27-29 degrees, and in the region – up to 30 degrees above zero. On Saturday, the thermometers will show the same indicators, and in Moscow the probability of a 30-degree mark these days is also very high.
On Sunday, a slight decrease in temperature is predicted – up to 24-26 degrees.
At the same time, a warning is in effect in the metropolitan area due to the high level of fire risk against the backdrop of intense heat. In some places in Moscow and the Moscow region, the fourth class of fire hazard operates.
Earlier, Vilfand reported that from now on in Moscow and the Moscow region, active heating of the water of all flowing and stagnant reservoirs will begin. Already by the weekend, the temperature in lakes and ponds can reach comfortable for swimming 19-20 degrees.
Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, said that next week it will again get colder to 15-20 degrees by the weekend. In general, June, according to the forecasts of the meteorologist, is not going to indulge the inhabitants of Central Russia with real summer heat yet, despite some hot days.
