Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Israeli and German companies, with which they will establish a joint production of combat drones.
The AP information notes that Orban announced the name of an Israeli company – this is the manufacturer of defense technologies UVision. The name of the German company, which will take part in a major joint project for the production of combat drones, the Hungarian prime minister did not specify.
Orban spoke about cooperation while speaking at the opening ceremony of a new plant in the city of Zalaegerszeg. This plant is owned by the German military-technical company Rheinmetall, and the Hungarian state owns a 49% share.
Soon, as the prime minister also said, Rheinmetall will open another plant in the central part of Hungary, which will produce ammunition. This enterprise will become one of the most modern in Europe, Orban is sure.
