Residents of the Sadgorod district in the suburbs of Vladivostok received lawsuits from the Russian Ministry of Defense to annul their ownership of the land where they live. This was announced today by the governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako, promising to look into the situation.
“Citizens have received statements of claim from the Ministry of Defense on the annulment of the ownership of the land where they now live. The basis of the claims are documents dated 1932 and 1939, indicating that the land belonged to the military department. This may affect 300 families,”— wrote Mr. Kozhemyako in his Telegram channel.
The head of the region intends to meet with the residents of Sadgorod and send an appeal to the Ministry of Defense with a request to clarify the position of the military department.
“In this situation, we will defend the legitimate interests of our countrymen. If people legally acquired plots, received them within the framework of state programs, built houses or inherited them, of course, we will protect their rights,” the official said.
The day before, the investigative department of the ICR for Primorye reported on the beginning of the pre-investigation check on the grounds of a crime, under Part. 1 Article. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence). The department intends to check the information about the violation of the rights of citizens in the issuance of land plots in the Sadgorod district.
