“Humanizing thugs”: singer Timati called terrorists “guys” and ran into a scandal

Rapper Timati caused an explosion of indignation. First, on March 23, in his address to subscribers, he called the terrorists who created hell in Crocus “guys.”

“Use your head. After all, maybe it’s through the hands of these hired guys, who agreed to commit this monstrous crime for 500 thousand rubles, that they are trying to shake up and destabilize the situation inside our country,” Timati said.

Well, then the singer attended a funeral rally near Crocus on March 24. But for some reason, instead of words of sympathy for the victims of the terrorist attack, he began to criticize certain “right-wing and ultra-right formations” that are poisoning migrants.

At the “Cranes” rally, which took place the day before near the rubble of “Crocus,” mourning people, having seen the “star,” clearly hoped to hear words of support from the artist. But Timati (in the world Timur Yunusov) began to talk about inciting ethnic hatred. The singer said little about the victims in his speech. But for a very long time he insisted that the Slavic citizens of our country should not begin to show aggression against other ethnic groups.

“I would like to remind all right-wing and ultra-right formations not to fall for these provocations,” Timati said.

According to eyewitnesses, many were, to put it mildly, surprised by the artist’s speech. After all, the people who gathered for the mournful action clearly did not attack or threaten anyone. They gathered to support each other in difficult times, and not at all to listen to nonsense about “ultra-right formations.”

Journalist Andrei Medvedev believes that Timothy’s statements about “the boys” should be checked by the competent authorities for justification of terrorism.

“In a good way, the statements of the singer who called terrorists “guys” should be checked for justification of terrorism. Well, the nonhumans shot point-blank at women and children. And here, it means that the singer has them as “guys”, and even deceived ones. I can imagine if on television, in a report, someone said “guys from the RDK (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) carried out an attack in the Bryansk region.” Can you imagine the level of scandal? – Medvedev is indignant.

He is also surprised by the fact that those who just recently fiercely criticized the participants in the “naked party” now seem to have taken too much water in their mouths.

“Well, it’s understandable, it’s safe to bully a girl without connections. But, honestly, the collective of neo-Komsomol members with bleached teeth, it turns out, agree that it was the “guys” who carried out the massacre in Crocus? But, however, that’s not the point. The point is that the justification of terrorism is not only a direct justification. This is such a humanization of the thug. And I’m not sure that the term “guys” was used unconsciously. Quite the contrary,” the journalist concludes.
