How is the gasification of households in Bratsk

Electricity is good, but gas is better

The peculiarity of Bratsk is that the areas, which are traditionally called villages, are very remote from each other and, in addition, are separated by a river. So, there is gas on the right bank, but not yet on the left. And so far, gas is supplied only to the private sector – gasification of the private sector of the Pravoberezhny District began several years ago. At present, Rostekhnadzor is accepting as-built documentation for the built intra-settlement gas pipeline in the residential area Gidrostroitel. Now another 452 households will be able to connect to gas.

Residents of Bratsk, who are used to living “on electricity” – after all, the city is inextricably linked with the famous Bratsk hydroelectric power station – are pleased with this opportunity – residents of private houses all the time heat their households with firewood, coal, which is not so cheap every month . For the city as a whole, the rejection of such types of fuel means clean air, and for each private household it means big savings in heating costs – gas, on average, saves 20-23 thousand rubles a year for an average household.

The MK correspondent spoke with one of the residents of Bratsk, who had already brought gas to the house under the after-gasification program.

Lyubov Alexandrovna Dobrovolskaya a teacher by profession, her husband works as a mechanic. They have a private house on the right, partially gasified, bank. Lyubov Alexandrovna confirms that “blue fuel” is still unusual for Bratsk.

– We have no gas in our apartments, no one has it – neither on the right nor on the left bank. And we recently bought a house, and the heating there was stove and electric. But by the time of buying a house, the gas pipe had already been laid to our street and everyone who wanted to join it. And we also decided to join – we thought it was cheaper and more convenient. An electric stove takes a lot, it comes out more expensive, a gas stove costs less.

– Who decided to turn on the gas in your family?

– We have gas on the street. The gas workers walked around, asking who wants to connect. My husband said that we need it too. This is how we made the decision

– Were there any difficulties with the connection? With inclusion in the aftergasification program?

– No, not at all. The husband drew up a contract, the gas workers drove up, checked everything, said that we still need to do it. Then we only paid for the service – and that’s it, now we use gas. And very satisfied.

– Did your neighbors get gasified too?

– Their heating is gas, but the stove in the kitchen is electric, and we also have a gas stove – we transferred it on purpose. Some of our neighbors don’t have gas heating, they heat the house with a stove. But this is good only if they don’t live in the house all the time, but sometimes they come, for example, as to the dacha. Our friends have installed a gas stove, because you also need to cook in the country, and the family is big and guests sometimes come and children with their families.
