How Boris Moiseev lived after three strokes: he no longer considered himself an artist

Did not give up hope to return

After the first stroke, Boris Moiseev was still quite cheerful, and although he did not go on stage, he posed for the press with pleasure and talked with colleagues. He did not leave hope one day to return to full-fledged creative activity, in 2012 he even recorded a new studio album. But in 2015, Boris Mikhailovich was overtaken by a second stroke, after which he completely stopped appearing in public and giving interviews, completely withdrawing into the space of his apartment. They said that this time there was a serious speech impairment, which even classes with a speech therapist could not correct.

The art director of the singer, Sergei Gorokh, sometimes commented on his condition, but did not voice anything concrete. And the artist seemed to be pursued by evil fate – in 2017 he had a third stroke … He remained alive, which happens quite rarely in such cases, but speech, movement and brain activity impairments were seriously aggravated.

In the summer of 2020, it became known that Moiseev was in critical condition. Financial difficulties were added to health problems, because over the years of illness, the celebrity had run out of all his savings, and he could not give new concerts. Therefore, like all ordinary people after 60 years old, he lived on a pension, which was enough only for the most necessary food and medicine.

Sometimes friends still managed to chat with the artist. According to them, he did not complain about anything, said that he felt “not bad”, reads a lot, mostly those books that he had no time for during his stormy creative life, watches TV, sometimes goes to the Internet to find out the news. Moiseev claimed that he was no longer interested in show business, since he was “no longer an artist, but a pensioner who wants peace.” Many of his colleagues noted that he was quite calm about his new position, to some extent even with the humor that was always inherent in him.

“I don’t need to constantly demonstrate myself, sit on the splits and post it on the Web,” said Boris Mikhailovich.

In domestic terms, he was helped by a housekeeper, and Sergey Peas also took over many aspects of life. He practically could not leave the house himself, because he needed outside help. Singer Alena Apina, who kept in touch with him, once mentioned in 2021 that he was very bad and almost didn’t talk anymore. However, no details were given.

Didn’t like to see drugs

Obviously, Boris Moiseev passed away at a relatively young age by modern standards. Although it was not customary to talk about it, many of his colleagues knew that he had suffered for many years from a whole bunch of diseases. This was a consequence of the fact that the artist did not always lead a healthy lifestyle. In addition to alcohol and cigarettes, he often abused junk food, literally breaking into it. And of course, numerous plastic surgeries played a big role in his state of health, to which he resorted almost more often than his female colleagues. From what the artist himself announced to the public, one can recall Botox injections, liposuction and a circular facelift. However, most likely, this is not a complete list of what the singer did with himself in order to look perfect despite his age.

After the third stroke, he already had irreversible brain damage, but nevertheless he worked out on a treadmill and sometimes visited friends. He also liked to correspond with fans on social networks, since his fine motor skills of his fingers recovered relatively well.

His apartment on Sadovoye Koltso was well equipped for him to move around on his own, since the housekeeper came every two days. Assistant Sergey Peas helped the star take medication and organize medical procedures. According to him, Moiseev really did not like it when packs of pills lay in prominent places in the apartment, he demanded that they be taken out of sight and given out exactly as much as needed at one time.

“He doesn’t want the house to look like a hospital, so we put all the medicines away. So he feels more comfortable, ”said Sergey Gorokh.

Nevertheless, the so-called “panic button” was in a conspicuous place in the artist’s apartment, and when the need arose, he used it. In addition, a camera was installed.

“Unfortunately, we have to use this button. Sometimes, for example, he unsuccessfully lies down on the bed, moves out and it is hard for him to get up and correct his position. I can always quickly come to him, because I live nearby, ”the star’s assistant shared.

And yet, some of his colleagues spoke disapprovingly of those who surrounded Moiseev during the period of illness, believing that there were no people nearby who could truly help him with rehabilitation.

In 2022, almost nothing was heard about Boris Moiseev, and on September 27 he died. As it became known, no one was in the apartment with him at the time of his death. The cause of death was another stroke.

Non-scandalous brawler

Despite the very ambiguous stage image and the theme of the songs performed, Boris Moiseev has never become a defendant in any public scandal in his entire creative career. He very carefully hid his personal life, preferring to surprise and shock on stage, and not in reality. Not least thanks to this amazing ability, his works were never vulgar, and a variety of people turned out to be among the fans.

Nevertheless, his biography could not do without a skeleton in the closet. Back in 2004, he himself spoke about the illegitimate son that he allegedly has.

By his own admission, when in his youth he came to work in the Baltic states, he met a local actress Eugenia Pleshkite there, who was 15 years older than him. A stormy romance ended with the woman’s pregnancy, and she decided to give birth, because she was already old. She named her son Amadeus. However, he considers another person to be the father and has never met Moiseev.

It is noteworthy that Amadeus was born deaf and mute, nevertheless he received an education and a profession. Now he is over 40, he moved from Vilnius to Poland, where he lives and works. Whether he knows anything about Boris Moiseev is unknown, but outwardly Amadeus is strangely similar to the performer of the hit “Blue Moon”.

Nevertheless, a former member of the Expression trio, Lyudmila Tolkach, once said that all this was fiction. She said that there was a love story, but with completely different characters. Allegedly, Moiseev’s girlfriend was actually called Ermina Mickiewicz, she was Polish and not an actress at all. It so happened that she really was in a position. Having learned about this, the dancer simply left for Moscow. No child was born.

Several other Moiseev colleagues in the shop in response immediately stated that one novel does not exclude the possibility of another. So the question “was there a boy?” remains open.
