Houthis confirm attack on British tanker
The representative of the Houthi Ansar Allah movement, Yahya Saria, confirmed on his page on the social network X that Houthi units attacked the British oil tanker Marlin Luanda in the Gulf of Aden.
He called the strike an “operation” carried out by the Yemeni Navy. He also noted that a direct hit was recorded on the ship.
Earlier, the British Navy reported an attack on a British ship off the coast of Yemen.
The Ansar Allah movement has begun attacking shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since November 2023 to protest Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip. The strikes continue despite attacks on Houthi targets by the US and UK.
