According to Ms. Asaulenko, the investigative actions began at six in the morning, as a result, her phone was confiscated, and Mr. Murzaev’s phone and computer were confiscated.
Both are witnesses in a criminal case against oppositionist Sergei Ukhov (recognized as a foreign agent), which was initiated back in February under Art. 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public appeals directed against the security of the state). Sergei Ukhov himself, who is abroad, was put on the wanted list.
About initiating a case became known in July. Sergei Ukhov then noted that he did not know the details of the investigation, but stated that it “was opened for the truth.”
