Company Honor introduced smartphone Magic Vs is a new generation of a branded device in a folding format. It will go on sale in November. The model will enter the market with the MagicOS 7.0 operating system based on Android 12. The cost of a new folding smartphone in China will be from $1,000. The possibility of the device entering other markets has not been reported.
The novelty received a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm, which is combined with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal memory. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.45-inch 2560×1080 pixel screen, which, when unfolded, turns into a 7.9-inch 2272×1984 pixel display with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The manufacturer promises that the unfolded screen has no folds, and the mechanism is able to withstand more than 400 thousand folding cycles (more than ten years of use with a hundred unfolding daily).
Magic Vs received a 54MP main camera, complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The external display houses a 16-megapixel front camera, while the internal camera screen does not. The smartphone received a 5000 mAh battery with support for 66 W fast charging.
