Historian Drochmann: on the conscience of the “stronghold of democracy” of the United States proxy war

Historian and journalist of the German TV channel ZDF Mirko Drochmann said that the United States of America, which traditionally describes itself as a “stronghold of democracy and freedom,” does not always behave so impeccably.
There are less glorious chapters in US history, he says. For example, the military operations in which Washington is currently taking part.
“Regime change, proxy wars and direct attacks. An Afghan wedding ends in a hail of bombs, mutilated war victims from Iraq, children fleeing a burning village in Vietnam,” Drochmann said.
He stressed that America can be anything but a flawless “nice guy.”
