New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaiya Mahuta said at a press conference following a government meeting that the authorities had imposed sanctions on 14 Russian citizens, as well as media and defense enterprises.
She clarified that 14 Russian citizens fell under the restrictions, including shareholders and heads of companies involved in the production of firearms and missiles.
“Under the sanctions, among other things, were members of paramilitary groups that are associated with the Wagner PMC. Among the mass media is the news agency News Front, based in Crimea,” Nanaia Makhuta noted.
It is clarified that they will be prohibited from visiting New Zealand, and aircraft associated with the above persons from using the country’s airspace. At the same time, the assets of persons subject to the new restrictions will be frozen.
