Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping Pyotr Biryukov said that utility services will begin supplying heat to buildings in the capital from October 3.
“Due to the decrease in the average daily outside air temperature and the upcoming cold snap, tomorrow we will begin transferring the heating supply system to the winter operating mode,” Mr. Biryukov told reporters (quoted from “Interfax”).
The deputy mayor said that social institutions, including schools and hospitals, will be the first to receive heat. At the same time, heating will be turned on in residential buildings and office buildings, and then in commercial and industrial enterprises, Mr. Biryukov added.
