Heads of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and the DPR lifted the curfew for transit transport

The authorities of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have lifted the curfew for the transit movement of passengers and goods from the territory of Crimea to the Rostov region and back. A similar decision was made by the authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The authorities took these measures after the drone attack on the Crimean bridge.

Acting Governor of the Zaporozhye Region Yevhen Balitsky informedthat the curfew from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. will not apply to the M-14 Odessa-Melitopol-Novoazovsk highway, which runs from Melitopol to the border between the Zaporozhye region and the DPR. The same decision was made on the M-18 Kharkiv-Simferopol-Yalta road (from Melitopol to the border between the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions).

Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo too signed a decree on the abolition of the curfew on two routes: Dzhankoy-Chongar-Novoalekseevka-Melitopol and Armyansk-Chaplinka-Askania-Nova-Novoalekseevka-Melitopol. He clarified that he did this “in order to ensure the possibility of round-the-clock transit movement of passengers and goods.”

Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin declaredthat travel along the land corridor through the territory of the republic will be carried out around the clock, and the curfew has been canceled. He added that “a number of measures are also being introduced that will speed up the passage of checkpoints on the administrative border,” but did not give details.
