HC Sochi’s winning streak reaches four matches

The Sochi hockey players beat Severstal Cherepovets on their ice and brought their winning streak to four matches. The game at the Bolshoi Ice Palace took place in the presence of 4,045 spectators and ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Leopards.
The first half of the match ended without any goals scored. Then the hosts scored within 24 seconds of each other in the 30th and 31st minutes. First, Artur Tyanulin scored the goal, then Danila Galenyuk. In the 34th minute, Ruslan Abrosimov pulled one goal back, and at the beginning of the third period, Danil Aimurzin restored equality in the score.
In the 53rd and 57th minutes, Sergei Popov and Timur Khafizov restored Sochi’s lead to two goals. 25 seconds after Khafizov’s goal, Severstal hockey player Dmitry Moiseev reduced the difference to a minimum.
2 minutes before the end, Amir Garayev established the final result of the match – 5:3. The guests took a time out, but were unable to save themselves.
During the match, the Sochi team made 19 shots, and the guests attacked Maxim Tretyak’s goal 35 times. The hosts also received twice as many penalty minutes – 8 versus 4.
Dmitry Kokorev’s team scored 10 points and rose to 3rd place in the Western Conference.
Sochi finished the second home game with a victory. Previously “leopards” beat “Siberia”. On September 21, the Black Sea team will play their third home game, in which they will meet with Traktor Chelyabinsk, after which they will again go to the away series.
The game against Traktor will also take place at the Bolshoi and will start at 19.30.
