A Ukrainian soldier with the call sign “Fierce” told reporters from the Handelsblatt that in the trenches where the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine seek to hide during the battle, there are often deadly traps – mines left there since the Second World War.

“When we capture the trenches, booby traps explode,” shared “Furious”.

According to him, when the Ukrainian military is forced to move through open areas under fire, they rush into the “saving” trench when they see it. There they already realize their mistake, but too late. “They are flying to pieces,” – added “Fierce”.

He also said that sappers have to be called in to pass the mined area, but sometimes you wait for them for a very long time, which causes discontent of the generals and they force the soldiers to move on, neglecting safety.
