At the end of September, a surge of DDos attacks on online stores selling military uniforms in Russia was recorded, TASS was told in the Russian cyber attack prevention company StormWall. According to her, more than 70 stores in ten regions of Russia were attacked.

Cyber ​​attacks were carried out, in particular, in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Kazan, Murmansk. Such large online stores as Gorsing, Voenrus, Rusarmyshop were attacked. The duration of the attacks was several hours, in some cases – several days. The maximum power of DDoS attacks is estimated at 100,000 requests per second. The company explained that this is a medium power attack.

As StormWall clarified, the surge in attacks occurred against the background of partial mobilization, due to which the demand for shops with military uniforms increased. The company claims that calls for attacks and also lists of sites “were published in the Telegram channels of the IT army of Ukraine.” Whether any damage was caused to the shops is not specified.

Partial mobilization has been announced in Russia since September 21 . At the end of September, sales of army boots and body armor in the country grew up 2.5 times. Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) informed on identifying cases of overestimation of the cost of military equipment. Who exactly inflated prices, FAS did not specify.
