Gymnasts from Sakhalin became silver medalists of the Far Eastern Federal District championship

Sakhalin athletes successfully performed at the championship of the Far Eastern Federal District in rhythmic gymnastics in Khabarovsk. They took several prizes in the team and individual all-around. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.

In the team all-around, island gymnasts Kira Yablochnikova, Diana Gizhitsa, Anfisa Rybakova, Violetta Tsoi, Alla Li and Diana Kholodkova won silver medals.

Coaches Marina Nikolaeva, Olga Lukina, Svetlana Mayorova, Inna Tishkina, Ksenia Tikhomirova, Inna Tsyganova, Ekaterina Koroleva, Evgenia Shipitsyna and choreographers Natalya Kozlova, Nina Kurilova took part in the preparation of the gymnasts for the competition.

In group exercises under the CCM program, the team of the Sakhalin Region-1 (Violetta Tsoi, Alla Li, Irina Yun, Michel Gubina, Yulia Tushinskaya, Diana Iskra) took second place in the all-around and first in the final with five balls. In group exercises according to the program of the first category, the team of the Sakhalin Region-1 (Alisa Kolodiy, Ksenia Gizhitsa, Arina U, Alina Mordasova, Marina Shmalinyuk, Melissa Mulyarenko) took bronze in the all-around. The coaches of the athletes are Svetlana Mayorova and Inna Tishkina.

Teams of the Sakhalin Region-2 and 3 in CCM and in the first category entered the top ten teams in the Far East.

In the individual all-around, Kira Yablochnikova became the winner of the FEFD championship in the first category. She will represent the island region as part of the Far Eastern national team at the Russian championship, which will be held in Moscow from 13 to 21 February. The coaches who prepared the athlete are Marina Nikolaeva and Olga Lukina, the first coaches are Svetlana Ershova and Inna Tishkina.
