World champions in rhythmic gymnastics Dina and Arina Averina ended their sports career at the age of 25.
Their coach, President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner, announced that the girls would no longer compete.
“Today the girls told me that they won’t perform anymore,” she said at a gala concert of sports stars.
Dina Averina is an 18-time world champion, four-time absolute world champion and Olympic silver medalist. Arina is a five-time world champion.
