Gymnastic show by Irina Viner on City Day

A symphony gala concert was held at the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace with the participation of world stage stars and the rhythmic gymnastics Olympic team. Symphony orchestra of 91 musicians, soloists of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters, as well as MAMT im. Stanislavsky, and, of course, gymnasts – the whole color of this most beautiful sport, everything for the guests of the evening.

In addition to the main stars of rhythmic gymnastics, teams from different regions took part in the concert: Penza, St. Petersburg, Omsk, Ulyanovsk, Rostov.

Irina Viner sat at the judges’ table and gave her comments during the performance. Not only to gymnasts, but also to light workers, and during the performance of the joint numbers of Dina and Arina Averin, the guru of the national coaching school told the audience which of the sisters had now entered the carpet.

The Averins duet took part in three numbers, not counting the general exit at the end. The performance to the song from the opera La Traviata was one of the most spectacular.

The “icing on the cake” of the gala evening was the performance of Lala Kramarenko with a breathtaking hairdo in the style of ballroom dancing. The gymnast presented a beautiful number to Chopin’s Ballade No. 1, in which Lala performed complex elements in concert light, first with a ribbon, and then with a scarf.

In addition to the above-mentioned gymnasts, Anastasia Guzenkova, Sofia Agafonova, Alina Protasova, Anna Popova, Vera Tulolukova, Diana Chugunikhina, Maria Borisova and the Russian national team in group exercises took part in the show. In the final, the gymnasts lined up on both sides of the mat, simultaneously threw ribbons, clubs, balls and hoops, and then synchronously caught each other’s apparatus. The filled stands were indescribably delighted and greeted the gymnasts with a flurry of applause.

The final number to the suite from the ballet The Firebird turned out to be bright and unforgettable. Gymnasts of the Russian national team in group exercises performed with clubs on which there were light bulbs, every movement was clearly visible in the concert light. At the same time, Averina’s sisters performed in the center of the carpet with ribbons.

After the solemn speech of the President of the WFHG, Olympic champions, world and European champions of different years came to the carpet in dresses from Valentin Yudashkin. Together with them were very young girls who are just starting their journey in sports.

“Now the World Cup will be held somewhere. Somewhere… No! The World Championship will take place here, and now it has passed for you. And on the 11th we start the Spartakiad, where the best gymnasts of the world will perform. We do not give up, we train as if we have the Olympic Games tomorrow. You have seen that many girls have bandaged legs, they have competitions. I told them that it’s okay, you don’t have to perform here. They answered me “no”. And I understand them perfectly. They performed with the orchestra, forgetting about injuries. They did things that I forbid them to do even in training, ” – with these words Irina Viner finished the symphony gala concert in Moscow.
