Greek National Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos said at a meeting of the parliamentary defense commission that Athens would not supply Kyiv with Leopard 2 tanks and Russian-made S-300 air defense systems.
At the same time, he noted that Greece supplied several infantry fighting vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and should send several more of these vehicles. In addition, Greece sent ammunition of various calibers.
“If we have surplus resources, we will help,” Panagiotopoulos added, answering MPs’ questions.
He also said that Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is arriving in Greece tomorrow and there will be many rumors about what he will ask. “Our position from the first moment is clear and unequivocal. We give what we can give,” the Greek minister stressed, adding that he would not give anything that could weaken Greece’s own defense capability.
