The location of the future mosque in Kosino-Ukhtomsky will be changed, a land plot will be allocated for its construction near the Kosino metro station, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
According to him, he received proposals from the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill and the Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin. Both appeals express a request to find another place for the construction of the mosque.
“Taking into account these appeals, the location of the future mosque will be changed. A land plot will be allocated for its construction near the Kosino metro station, between the future MCD-3 diameter, the Moscow High-Speed Diameter and the Moscow Ring Road. Within walking distance from the metro and MCD stations,” said the mayor of the capital.
Sobyanin pointed out that the mosque would not interfere with residents of nearby houses and would be in good transport accessibility. “Moscow is a multinational and multi-confessional city. We have always lived and will live in peace and harmony,” he concluded.
Formerly Sobyanin toldthat Moscow has concluded agreements with 14 investors on the allocation of land plots on preferential terms. “We have already signed agreements with 14 investors on the allocation of land on favorable terms. Since 2022, we have been providing companies with large-scale investment projects (MaIP) in industry at a rate of one ruble per year. Producers received almost 31 hectares of land for development,” he explained.
As a result, according to the mayor, factories will be built in Moscow for the production of building and finishing materials, furniture, packaging, food, components for cars, electronics and equipment for caravanning.
