In the Moscow region, matches of the second round of the XXI Russian mini-football championship (Centre zone) according to the Big People Football Federation (FFBL) took place.
Professionals and amateurs weighing over 100 kilograms take part in these competitions. Grebnevo (Shchelkovo), Vityaz (Podolsk), Snezhny Mir (Pavlovsky Posad), Fryanovo (Fryanovo) and Moscow Giants (Moscow) took to the floor. Capital “Sviblovo” skipped the tour and will perform next.
The tournament was dedicated to the memory of the former player of Schelkovo “Spartak”, later a mini-football referee Yuri Kuznetsov. The winners of the competition were the six-time winners of the championship from Grebnevo, who scored three victories and once tied. Moreover, this 2:2 draw with Snezhny Mir was marked by controversy, since the referee decided to count the ball that saved Grebnevo, which flew into the net simultaneously with the siren about the end of the match.
Vityaz finished second, losing to Grebnevo with a score of 0:3. The third place was taken by “Snow World”. Interestingly, after a long break, the two-time champion Fryanovo returned to the tournament.
“For the first time in many years, we have gathered very strong teams, so the matches of the second stage of the championship were held in a competitive struggle,” said FFBL President Gennady Efanov. – The participants managed to show a high level of play. I think this is the strongest and most interesting championship in the last ten years.”
According to Efanov, the FFBL plans to hold matches in big football, as well as enter the international level.
