Great standing: is it possible to draw parallels between the events on the Ugra and the NWO

During the 43 years of his reign, Ivan III collected almost all the lands of what was then Rus’. The main opponents of the unification were not even the princes, who were losing their independence (many came under the rule of Moscow absolutely peacefully), but the surrounding powers: the Golden Horde, Lithuania, Sweden. The majestic Ivan III in the annals was called “Ivan the Terrible” (his grandson, Ivan IV, was “Terrible-2”). Meeting his gaze, many became numb, fainted.

The nature of the era and the sovereign clearly manifested itself in 1492, the 7000th according to the then accepted calculation from the creation of the world. The calendar was kept by the Church, Paschalia were calculated up to the year 7000, plus a postscript walked along many manuscripts: “This summer has appeared at the end, in the same tea the universal triumph of Your coming.” Well, many of our more enlightened (?) contemporaries suddenly felt like ancient Indians, panicking in December 2012: “The end of the Mayan calendar!”

So let’s excuse those unfamiliar with the achievements of A. Fursenko, who did not pass the exam, ordinary peasants, who in the spring of 1492 did not begin to sow rye. “Dooms of the world” in general from a number of so-called. “self-fulfilling predictions”. Rumor, fear, and now the real “Horseman of the Apocalypse” on a black horse – hunger.

But Ivan III then thought more about the vulnerability of access to the Baltic, acquired with the annexation of Novgorod. On the Livonian bank of the border river Narova there is a powerful castle, the city of Narva, a port. In Russian – naked Maiden Hill. And in the spring of 1492, with great speed and energy, they began to build the Ivangorod fortress there. The most important Russian stronghold. It was from this point that the Livonian War of Ivan the Terrible-2 and the Northern War of Peter the Great began. The order of the sovereign – and everyone was not up to … As Ronald Reagan said 500 years later: “There are things worse than the end of the world.” By the way, in his country, that year 1492 turned out to be a real Apocalypse for the indigenous population – see Columbus, the genocide of the Indians. (The Indians were afraid, it turns out, not at all of that year!)

But by the summer of 2023, another historical parallel clearly stretches. Standing on the Ugra.

So, the message of the Khan of the Great (heir to the Golden) Horde is torn. War. In 1480, the army of Khan Akhmat approached the Ugra River, approximately on the border of the Moscow and Kaluga regions. The behavior of Ivan III is described by some historians as cowardice. Indeed, he left the Ugra for Moscow, where he was strong, but we blame him behind his back.

The famous “lover” of Russia, Karl Marx, was surprised: “How did Ivan manage to accomplish all these great things? Russian historians themselves portray him as a notorious coward.” The “historians” mentioned by Marx are Kostomarov: “Ivan III was not distinguished by either courage or bravery, but he knew how to perfectly use circumstances.” It’s funny this step-by-step thickening of colors. The local Kostomarov lied a little: “he didn’t differ in courage,” and the political scientist from London: “I didn’t make it up, it’s the Russians themselves!” But he took another step: “a deliberate coward.”

In reality, Ivan III from his youth was “in the active armies” of his father, in battles a hundred times more dangerous than Ugra-1480. It was he, together with the governor Fyodor Basenok and the Tatar prince Kasim, who became a loyal Russian warrior, the founder of the Kasimov Khanate in the Ryazan region, who broke the trend of Vasily the Dark’s epic fails.

The first answer to Marx-Kostomarov is, so to speak, preemptive. 400 years before them, the contemporary of Ivan III, the ruler Stefan the Great (Stefan cel Mare, the greatest of the rulers of Moldova, the invincible commander who married his daughter Elena to the son of Ivan III), according to Herberstein, “at every feast he says in surprise: here is Ivan, sitting at home, indulging in sleep, he multiplies his power, and I, Stefan, fighting daily, barely defend my borders.

On his departure from the Ugra, Ivan III made peace with the brothers Andrei and Boris, who threatened to unleash a second civil war, similar to the recent one, which almost destroyed his father’s state. Akhmat at that time was expecting an ally, the Polish-Lithuanian king Casimir. But … the troops approached the Russians: the former rebellious brothers Andrei and Boris with detachments that, according to Akhmatov’s plans, were to take over Moscow, hit Ivan from the rear. And the Crimean Khan Mengli-Girey attacked Casimir: another major diplomatic success of Ivan, all his reign Mengli-Girey was a loyal ally.

More amusing than the steps of Marx-Kostomarov would be a nod: “Ek, he draws the announced analogy with the summer of 2023, he even found rebels who changed their minds!” Well, it is not necessary (although desirable) to know Russian history, but these are all the most ordinary facts from Karamzin, Solovyov. I was amazed at another, completing my book: no one has yet noticed a stunning analogy with another Great Standing, practically in the same place, also in autumn, Kutuzov stood in 1812. True, Ivan’s front is to the south, and Kutuzov is to the north. The main similarity: wisdom, endurance.

Ivan saw that Akhmat’s army was weakening with the onset of cold weather. Mongolian horses are trained to extract grass from under the snow (the main surprise of Batu), but then they attacked, moved, and Akhmat stood, the army ate all the fodder in the district. Chronicle: “Byahu bo the Tatars are naked and barefoot, they are skinned.” Further: at Kutuzov, the French communications were cut off by the detachments of Denis Davydov, Dorokhov, Benckendorff, Seslavin, and Ivan sent detachments of Prince Nozdrevaty and the Crimean prince Nur-Devlet to the rear of Akhmat. Having descended along the Oka, the Volga, they burned Saray, the capital of the khan.

Kutuzov’s contemporaries, some historians accused of indecision, standing for a long time, then “missing Napoleon, who could be cut off, caught.” Here is the difference: the rank of the Great Russian Slowers. The autocratic Ivan, as it is said, could make his opponents faint with a glance. And to Kutuzov, Alexander I assigned an overseer, a driver – the English General Wilson. To which Kutuzov allegedly replied: “Are you pushing me“ for the honor of the Russian army ”? For England! And for me, your island, even tomorrow, will be completely submerged under water. (Alas, the climate at Headquarters, the tsarist powers for Wilson were such that Kutuzov could say this phrase walking in history only in close circle.)

So why is Ivan III’s “deliberate cowardice” walking around since Marx’s times? Kostomarov also said: “His (Ivan III) immense greed contributed not to the enrichment, but to the impoverishment of the Russian region.” But there is so much evidence, including foreigners, about the rise of the economy in that era that it was Nikolai Ivanovich Kostomarov who can be considered not only the architect of Ukrainianism and the delusional all-Slavic confederation, but also the progenitor of the meme “It would be better if I gave it to pensioners.”

Karamzin: “The caution of Ivan III sometimes seems fearful, but prompted by prudence. He left a state amazing in space, strong in peoples, and even stronger in the spirit of government.”

Solovyov: “John III has a place of honor among the founders of the Muscovite state. Calmness, slowness. Perseverance in bringing to the end what has been started, composure.

Ilovaisky: “Ivan III is the founder of the state system, to which the whole Russian land obeyed. The stern, despotic, extremely cautious, unattractive nature of this first Moscow tsar was formed under the heavy impression of princely civil strife.

Here, in general, is the answer. Ivan III is the creator of the state in which we live, those who are hindered by this state scold him.
