The governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, believes that the founder of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, should follow the example of Boris Pugo, a member of the State Committee for the State of Emergency in the USSR (GKChP). He committed suicide after a failed coup attempt in 1991.
The GKChP is a self-proclaimed authority that existed from 18 to 21 August 1991. It included a number of high-ranking officials who opposed perestroika and the transformation of the USSR.
“The treacherous rebellions never achieved their goals. Yevgeny Prigozhin, after such a betrayal against Russia and its people, there is only one way, if he is a man, to follow the example of the same traitor to the country, a participant in the State Emergency Committee, Boris Pugo, ”wrote Mr. Rudenya in his Telegram channel.
On June 23, the founder, Mr. Prigozhin, accused the Ministry of Defense of hitting his company’s positions and said that 25,000 people were going to “deal with it.” After these statements, the FSB excited case of incitement to armed rebellion. Vladimir Putin called the events associated with PMCs a rebellion and betrayal.
