The government of the Russian Federation refused to legalize the distribution of films from Hollywood film companies that left Russia. This is reported by the Bulletin of the Film Distributor in its Telegram channel.
Recall that on May 16 it became known that the Russian government refused to give movie theaters a subsidy in the amount of 6.5 billion rubles, which they promised to give to the Association of Cinema Owners (AVK), rejecting their proposal to introduce contractless management of rights to films with mandatory payment to Hollywood reward stars.
“The fact that we were waiting for much as necessary and vitally required assistance to cinemas from the state and asked for it repeatedly, gave analytical calculations, but, unfortunately, we were not heard and the state decided not to allocate this assistance to cinemas,” he said.
