On the eve of the opening of the SPIEF, Kommersant Style suggests which restaurants in St. Petersburg are worth visiting

Marso Polo

The restaurant in the Mikhailovsky Garden is always very popular during the forum. You can not only drive up to it, but also swim beautifully.

The current owner, Antonio Freza, an Italian with Jewish roots, prepares the cuisine of northern Italy, and not only it. The trattoria has two wood-fired pizza ovens, its own cheese factory and perhaps the most romantic view of the Field of Mars and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The menu includes not only pizza and homemade cheese, but also pasta, risotto and serious dishes from the Tuscan charcoal grill.

“Futurist”

A project by Chef Alexey Alekseev (formerly Nordic, Recolte), who knows how to tell simple things about complex things. This time Alexey acted not only as a chef, but also as a restaurateur. The kitchen in his new project turned out to be light, elegant and gastronomic. The menu is full of various gourmet products that turn into dishes suitable for every day. In a nutshell, Futurist’s cuisine can be described as new Italian and French, multiplied by current trends. The menu is very diverse, from fish and meat dishes to raw fish and pasta appetizers, so everyone here will find something to their liking.

Jolie

Grand Bistro Joli occupies one of the parts of the Myasnikov mansion in the city center and resembles either a flowering garden or a greenhouse due to the completely transparent roof and greenery inside the restaurant. One of the most fashionable places where you can not only have lunch or dinner, but also have breakfast with white tablecloths. The brand-chef of the project is an Australian restaurateur and chef Glen Ballis (Loro, Londri, Lucky Izakaya bar), well-known to Muscovites, who knows how to make restaurants different from each other. Joli has a lot of fresh snacks in a modern European style, a decent set of hot meat dishes and pasta. And if after dinner there is a desire to continue the fun, then through the door is the Spanish gastronomic bar Juan with music, cocktails and strong exotic alcohol.

percorso

The Italian restaurant at the Four Seasons Lion Palace hotel on St. Isaac’s Square is a place where, after successful deals, more than one bottle of expensive Burgundy or Super Tuscany is drunk. A real fine dining with all the attributes attached to it: waiters in strict uniform, expensive and pompous interior, a well-thought-out concept with an Italian menu. A separate bonus is the view of the majestic St. Isaac’s Cathedral, reminiscent of frames from Fellini’s films.

Meat Coin

The meat restaurant, which is headed by the famous Turkish chef Mehmet Chalyshkan, can be found both on Rubinstein Street and in the Primorsky district. The menu includes premium beef, which is selected by the so-called meat scouts, dishes on an open fire and a Turkish food show from professional chefs.
