The 2GIS mapping service application has been removed from Google Play due to compliance with sanctions against Russia and trade rules. About it reported TASS in the press service of the corporation.
“Google complies with all applicable sanctions and trade compliance laws. If we detect an app that violates our terms of use, we will take appropriate action,” the post reads.
“2 GIS” gone missing from Google Play on May 20. Representatives of the application said that the data will continue to be updated daily, and through the application you can install maps of any cities. Now “2GIS” can be downloaded from the official website of the company, as well as in other application stores, including Samsung Galaxy Store, NashStore, RuMarket and RuStore.
In 2020, 2GIS was taken over by Sber, which is why it fell under US and EU sanctions. In September 2022, 2GIS was removed from the App Store. From April 22, 2023 the service is again became available in the app store.
