Golikova said that mortality in Russia decreased by 22% in 2022

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, at a meeting dedicated to the opening of new healthcare facilities in the regions, announced a decrease in the death rate in Russia last year.
“The mortality rate has decreased by 22% compared to 2021,” Golikova said.
She also told the audience that life expectancy in 2022 increased by 2.5 years and reached 72.6 years.
“In 2023, we will finally return to the pre-COVID period,” the Deputy Prime Minister assured.
