Cabinet Speaker Hebestreit: Germany is still not ready to give Taurus missiles to Ukraine
Germany is still not ready for Berlin to transfer Taurus long-range missiles to Kyiv. This was reported by the official representative of the Cabinet of Ministers, Steffen Hebestreit.
He also added that Germany’s position on this issue has not changed.
“By now, as far as air defense is concerned, we have already delivered everything that is possible,” Hebestreit said.
Ukraine has repeatedly asked Germany to supply long-range Taurus missiles, but Berlin has so far refused to supply these munitions, fearing an escalation of the conflict.
A day earlier, Berlin announced new package military aid for Kyiv, which contains ammunition for Leopard 2A6, 10 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, as well as a Skynex anti-aircraft self-propelled gun. However, there are still no Taurus missiles there.
